Dining With Confidence
Â
Confidence at the table is about more than knowing which fork to use.
It's about feeling comfortable, making others feel welcome and enjoying the experience of sharing a meal.
This month, we're exploring dining etiquette through practical lessons for children, teens and adults.
You'll discover how to prepare for a meal, navigate common dining situations, engage in thoughtful table conversation and practice good manners at home and away.
And with our family dining challenge, everyone gets an opportunity to put those new skills into action.
The best place to practice? Your very own table.
Welcome
Hi, I'm Jacqueline. Welcome to the House.
I'm Jacqueline M. Baker, Founder and Chief Learning Officer of Scarlet.
For 15 years, my work has centered on helping people build confidence, strengthen connections and navigate the moments that matter.
What began with a desire to teach young people etiquette has grown into opportunities to work with individuals, families, leaders, professional athletes and organizations around the country.
But one belief has remained constant:
Etiquette isn't about perfection. It's about awareness, consideration, respect and confidence.
I created Scarlet House because I wanted to make this learning more accessible to families everywhere.
I wanted children to have a place to develop essential skills, teens to feel more prepared for what's ahead and adults to continue growing, too.
Most importantly, I wanted families to have something they could learn and practice together.
I'm so glad you're here.
Welcome to Scarlet House.

A Few Things You Might Be Wondering
#1
Is Scarlet House just for children?
Not at all! Scarlet House is designed for the entire family. Children, teens and adults have learning experiences tailored to their ages and stages of life.
#2
How much time do we need each month?
Not much! Most lessons are designed to be completed in about 5–10 minutes. You can learn at your own pace and incorporate family challenges into your existing routines.
#3
Do we have to participate as a family?
No. Family members can explore lessons independently. But we encourage you to practice together whenever possible. That's where the learning really comes to life.
#4
What topics will we learn about?
Throughout the year, we'll explore dining etiquette, communication, first impressions, digital manners, social confidence, respect, hosting, travel, professional readiness and much more.
#5
Is the membership appropriate for adults without children?
Yes! Our Modern Etiquette pathway offers practical learning for adults who want to strengthen their confidence in social, professional and everyday situations.
#6
How does the membership work?
Once you join, you'll receive instructions for accessing Scarlet House through our online learning platform. You can explore available lessons, resources and monthly experiences at your own pace.
